Since the invention of the gun, the argument of gun vs knife began. People have always said never bring a knife to a gun fight. Yet, that statement does not hold true due to special issues that many gun owners have such as lack of proper and realistic training. This video will show that a person having a gun is not always successful in defending himself from serious injury or death from an attacker with a knife. Your probabilities of surviving a knife attacker without injury or death greatly increase with your level of frequent training in the most realistic method possible. One key factor for gun vs knife self defense  for the gun user is focusing on gun drawing and aiming speed. If you do not frequently and consistently practice with your gun and your martial arts attributes, then your chances of surviving a knife attack are very low.

Conclusion:

This test shows that just because a person has a gun, he will not always win against a knife attack. There are other tests and real life incidents that have proven this also.

Remember that where you keep your gun on your body, the clothes you wear, your awareness, moisture on your hands etc, would greatly give advantage to the knife attacker. Again it is very important that the person with a gun realistically and frequently trains with it and especially focuses on gun drawing speed and accurate aiming. Frequent gun training plus other top level martial arts skills are required to increase your survival rate. This is why Jeet Kune Do (JKD) martial arts says to always learn the best of the best and discard the rest.
